Review of 8 Day Yoga & Wellness & Flow Retreat in Sunny Florida, USA I wanted a retreat where I could comfortably fast while practicing meditation and yoga in a supportive environment. I was looking for a retreat in a warm climate in the United Sta... tes where I could be supported in fasting and spiritual activities. I found very few programs in the U.S. that offered fasting and detox diets, and they offered flexible programs at an affordable price. I greatly enjoyed the daily meditation and yoga practice and the exceptionally helpful guidance on a detox diet that personally served my purpose. Each day, Valerie made us delicious and highly nutritious smoothies and soups to create a low-calorie, healthy detox diet. I left a few pounds lighter and with new information and recipes to continue to support a healthy eating strategy at home. Quantum Leap Retreats offers a comfortable home environment in warm southeast Florida within walking distance to the beach. The program I attended also offered beautiful daily meditations and well-led yoga along with supportive, personalized guidance on our daily food intake. There were also other enjoyable activities such as a massage (included with the program fee), a visit to a local Japanese garden, and yoga in the park one morning. Throughout the 10-day stay, Ira and Val supported me at every turn, guiding me through this crucial tran... sition with patience and compassion. They listened without judgment and helped me recognize my journey—my accomplishments, faults, and vulnerabilities. From restorative yoga to energy healing and everything in between, each experience was thoughtfully planned and offered without pressure. They were attentive to both my emotional and physical needs, and the nourishing, clean food allowed me to focus on reinventing myself. The Cacao Sound Bath Ceremony was especially powerful; although I experienced intense stomach pain overnight, after the release I felt I could truly breathe again. I arrived after a holiday flu, bloated and exhausted. A week later I was refreshed, detoxed and revitalized. A week with Val and Ira was full of insights, excursions, self care tips. (Their personal black book of nearby healing arts is remarkable.) ... Sunrise meditations, a local zen concert, sauna time, tai chi at the park, fresh smoothie recipes and instructions, restorative yoga, back massage, sound bed, hot tub, library of healing books, modern kitchen. They are tireless in finding ways to support your stage of healing and meeting your needs in a customized way. There are always minor surprises or changes in a healing retreat (it was too chilly for pool) but I trusted the teachers and came home richer for it. My Quantum Leap Retreat was everything I thought it would be; a complete unplug and reset. Val and Ira are an incredible husband and wife team with an amazing guest house in a wonderful part of town, close to the beach. They walk you through every st... ep of making the juices (I did a 7 day juicing cleanse), and know all the little stops to pull to make it powerful, lasting, educational and effective. We did yoga each morning, and some mornings did meditations on the beach watching the sun rise; it was just incredible. I came home and my friends and family, without prompting, told me I looked 10 years younger! And I continued to receive more health benefits; the impossible-seeming task of caring for my health suddenly seemed highly manageable, and I felt more resilient and energetic about pursuing goals and moving forward. "Disconnect to Reconnect: A transformative wellness experience" My six-day Disconnect to Reconnect Retreat at Quantum Leap Retreats in Boca Raton, Florida was a truly great experience. From the moment I arrived, the hosts Valerie and Ira were incred... ibly welcoming, friendly, and informative. The accommodation given was new, clean, and presentable, creating a comfortable and relaxing environment. Val has guided me to make balanced breakfast and lunch smoothies, which kept me refreshing and energetic all day. She has ensured to provide all fresh ingredients, along with the necessary utensils. This hands-on process was a refreshing and energetic start to each day. It was also a great way to learn more about nutrition. Their genuine, friendly approach created a comfortable atmosphere, and their flexibility in tailoring the yoga sessions to my needs and goals was very appreciative. I enjoyed these Yoga and meditation sessions under a beautiful tropical palapa, which offered a serene setting for deep practice. The retreat was full of great moments: Complimentary 90 mins massage & reflexology at Boca Happy Feel was very relaxing. Sound bed was one of a kind experience. Hot/Cold therapy was the most impactful - it was my first cold plunge. Thanks to Ira for expert guidance - Ira prepared me on what to expect, how it feels, how to handle it with breathing and visualization techniques, he guided me through the process with a patient and encouraging approach, I was able to stay in for 3 mins, and felt like a huge sense of accomplishment afterward. It's an experience I'll never forget. Relaxing beaches are just minutes away - bikes were available to ride around the community. This retreat was a much-needed escape for me. The six days of dedicated "me time," filled with this diverse range of healing modalities, helped recharge completely. However, after experiencing a transformative 15-day juice detox at the Quantum Leap Retreat, I feel compelled to share m... y journey in detail. At 54 years old, I was encouraged by my 26-year-old son to join him in this detox program, a decision I now recognize as profoundly life-changing. From the outset, Mrs. Valerie impressed me with her exceptional skills and unwavering dedication as our instructor. Her passion for health and well-being was evident, as she guided us through a meticulously planned detox program. Each day, we enjoyed three fresh juices for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, accompanied by essential vitamins to support our journey. Remarkably, despite consuming only juices, we each engaged in approximately 20,000 steps of walking daily, and I was surprised to find that I never felt hungry or experienced cravings for sweets, which had been a challenge for me in the past. The highlight of my day, however, was the two-hour meditation and yoga sessions led by Mrs. Valerie. These sessions were not only rejuvenating but also allowed me to connect deeply with my inner self, fostering a sense of peace and clarity. Additionally, Mr. Ira's hot and cold therapy sessions were nothing short of miraculous; I felt a profound sense of renewal and energy following each treatment. I spent 2 weeks with Ira and Val doing the detox juice fast and i would do it again. Accommodations were clean, classy and comfortable. I LOVED Boca, especitheor neighborhood which is eclectic and tropical with mango trees lining the streets. I very... much enjoyed walking to the beach for the sunrise, morning meditation and yoga with Val, pool exercise with Ira. Both Val and Ira are extremely knowledgeable and experienced with these detoxes. I felt safe and supported the whole time. They were also both available to talk through emotional issues that came up, offering sound guidance.
